Dr Lim is a practising clinical psychologist as well as a registered and licensed counsellor. Her passion in learning advance psychotherapy and counselling motivated her to obtain double masters (Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Social Science (Counselling Psychology) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). She also earned her PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Nottingham. With a background that combines both clinical psychology and counselling psychology knowledge and skills, Dr Lim is well-equipped to serve both clinical and non-clinical clients.
Since 2012, Dr Lim has provided psychotherapy, counselling and assessment for children, adolescents, and adults with various mental health challenges. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, phobia, separation anxiety, selective mutism, attachment issues, trauma, abuse, neurodevelopmental disorders, schizophrenia, interpersonal issues, and personality disorders. Dr Lim has intensive working experiences and exposures from the Social Welfare Department, hospital settings (inpatient and outpatient), NGO, corporate and private counselling centres, dealing with both clinical and non-clinical clients.
