The aim of child/teenager counselling is to help a child/teenager to cope with specific challenges that are affecting them (e.g. emotional, social, developmental) and for their family to provide a better support system.
Professional observation and assessment to help identify any underlying developmental or behavioral problems a child may have, so that they can be addressed early.
Parent and child will learn new skill sets to cope with the challenges through a comprehensive mode (e.g. social, emotional and behavioural).
Therapist as a neutral third person in providing a safe space for the child and teenager to express themselves, explore issues and strengthen their coping skills.
