All of us have to deal with challenging and unbearable situations from time to time. Have you ever wondered and amazed at how some people manage to bounce right back from challenges in their lives, keep an optimistic attitude, motivate themselves and stay healthy? Hundreds of studies are pointing to self-compassion and mindfulness as two of the most powerful resources to help us meet inevitable crises and transform our experience. While we all have these capacities within us, too often we neglect to use and/or strengthen our self-compassion and mindfulness, when we are struggling.
Large and rapid expanding body of research demonstrates that self-compassion and mindfulness are strongly associated with reducing reactivity, improving tolerance of stress and distress hence building emotional wellbeing, less stress, anxiety, depression, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships.
MINDFUL-SPA is inspired by the empirically-supported Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program and is specially designed and adapted to local Malaysian culture and needs. This 1-day workshop will be the beginning journey of acquiring coping skills and developing into available resources that will support you at any time you need it especially during challenging times.
